In this episode, we talk with Tracey about how she first established a Student Summit for her not only her school but the surrounding communities as well. Additionally, we learn more about how Tracey used her Gear Up grant, and the impact it has on her, the students, and the program as a whole.
About Tracey
Tracey is a full-time adjunct Lecturer at Calpoly, Pomona, CA, in the Plant Science Department at the Huntley College of Agriculture. She specializes in the evaluation of landscapes with an emphasis on tree diseases, insects and fertility, and tree inventory and soil health. Additionally, she is a Western Chapter ISA Certified Arborist, and member of both ISA and WCISA, and currently serves as Western Chapter Board Director.

Tracey and her school are also one of the five recipients of our 2019 Gear Up Grants. The Gear Up program was created by the TCIAF as well as STIHL to provide FIVE colleges with $5,000 to be used towards the purchase of new STIHL equipment.
